Dry July Rules
The rules of Dry July are simple; sign up and stop drinking for the month of July.
Dry July encourages people to give up alcohol for the month of July and raise funds for cancer patients and their families and carers.
We also ask that you reach out to family and friends during the month and ask them to sponsor you for taking part. The money you raise will help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Golden Tickets
If you have a special occasion in July, you can always buy a Golden Ticket. A Golden Ticket gives a Dry July participant a night off their challenge. For a minimum $25 donation, even a night off can still make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
Where does the money go?
By signing up for a Dry July and committing to raising funds, you’ll be providing comfort and support to people affected by cancer when they need it most.
The funds you raise as part of your Dry July will provide invaluable services to cancer patients, their families and carers – whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs or a bed close to treatment.
Important Note
Dry July is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. We would encourage people to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. We advise heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol to speak with their GP before signing up to Dry July.
